Ahh, the 84th Academy Awards… the bright lights, the never-ending red carpet, and Hollywood Fashion Tape! Ok, so I didn’t actually go to the Oscar’s red carpet event in California— but I did in my own home in Memphis, TN!
Last January, I entered a video contest sponsored by Hollywood Fashion Secrets and Rent the Runway for the chance to throw an Oscar Viewing Party with 15 of my friends. The contest had two rounds where a panel of judges and public votes on facebook would determine the winning video. I figured if I’m entering this contest, I would have to go all out! I bought a pink Risque “Marlin Monroe” wig from a local beauty shop, grabbed some hot pink pearl jewelry, and transformed into their lovely logo! Hey, you are never to old to play dress up! After hours of recording and editing, I finally came up with my video!
